The Association Animation Patrimoine Culture les vieilles lames was created in 2006 by enthusiasts of their country, to preserve and highlight the cutlery heritage of the Thiernoise Mountain. In our conservatory - Espace du savoir-faire coutelier - you will discover many tools and machines used before the advent of electricity. The guided tour is embellished with videos showing the work of workers in the early twentieth century. You will have the possibility to mount your own knife "Le Montagnard Thiernois" - adults and children - or a "Tartineur" for the little ones. You can bring us your knives to sharpen or restore. Les Vieilles Lames make their own model of knife, the "Puy Cervier", a reinterpretation of an old knife hence this shape and these materials both very contemporary and classic. You will find them for sale, as well as many other models made by volunteers (closers, pantries, to cut...) in our small shop.
