Every year in Thiers, the knife-making capital, the Coutellia fair welcomes over a hundred knife-makers from all over the world, all masters of their art. For a weekend, art pieces reflecting the culture of their countries of origin are exhibited and sold. Coutellia is also open to knife manufacturers, who exhibit and sell their products alongside the artistic knife-makers. Coutellia is also a chance for all artistic knife-makers to take part in a competition, submitting a knife of their own making. There are also all kinds of activities, such as a knife mounting workshop and forge demonstrations.
