The Benedictine Abbey of Saint-Papoul is a jewel of Cathar Country listed as a Historic Monument. Founded in the 8th century it became the seat of a bishopric from 1317 to the French Revolution. Since it is owned by the municipality. The tour, free, is using an illustrated document (duration: 45 min). It can be guided on booking of 10 people.
