Located in the municipality of Bidart in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques, the castle of Ilbarritz is a mansion of the late nineteenth century and listed historic monument. Built originally for Albert Espée, it is then situated in the heart of a factory park.
Offering breathtaking ocean views thanks to its position on the hill of Handia, the building was built in his time with the best possible materials like marble and fine woods. It also had all the greatest innovations of the era such as electricity, an electric dumbwaiter, telephone, drainage system and water treatment, mechanical air conditioning system, fire protection system or still a lightning rod.
Its owner, a great lover of music, are also installed an organ, the third largest in France after those of Saint-Sulpice and Notre Dame in Paris.
