Village of the Drôme, not far from Valréas, Vinsobres takes place on a hill and spreads from 180 to more than 500 meters of altitude. It is located ten kilometers from Nyons, not far from Vaison-la-Romaine, in the Vaucluse.
Vinsobres was born in the 10th century with the installation of a congregation of nuns of the Nyons Priory. Fortified at the end of the 13th century, the village suffers religious wars because of its large Protestant communities. But it is mainly for its wine and its cultivation of vines that the town is known over the centuries. Renowned, its raw, a quality red wine, today enjoys an AOC. It can be enjoyed with the other local specialty, the Croquette Vinsobres, a delicious biscuit crunchy almonds.
The village also has a charming architectural heritage and preserved landscapes to discover the time of a stay in the region.
