Founded in the second half of the thirteenth century Toulouse the Augustinian convent was then the property of the Order of Hermits of St. Augustine. Ranked historic monument, he saw his religious disappear at the end of the eighteenth century following the events of the French Revolution and now houses an art museum.
Considered one of the oldest museums in France after the Louvre with creation in 1795, the site has undergone several changes in order to highlight all the works present.
