Situated at the confluence of the Doubs and Dessoubre rivers, the town of Saint-Hippolyte is very picturesque, with its 14th-century church, its ancient convent, its houses along the water and its unspoiled natural environment. It is also a good departure point to discover the green valleys of Doubs and Dessoubre.

Additional information
Saint-Hippolyte

Saint-Hippolyte lies at the confluence of the Doubs and Dessoubre. This situation and the protection of the confluence allowed the town to grow from the 11th century by the Counts of La Roche. The history of this city is directly related to the cave of the rock, whose occupation is much older (Neolithic). Fortified town, which has preserved an ancient plot and houses from the 16th and 17th centuries.

The church hosted the 14th for over 30 years is now the Shroud in Turin.
