In the 12th century, the parish church of Guillos, Romanesque architecture, was too small to accommodate all his faithful people. It was a place of passage, prayer and rest for "Jacquets" de Compostela from the neighboring village of Saint-Michel Rieufret. There remains no vestige of the church today, but still remain on the ground stones, testimony to his edification.
Besides its stones, Guillos has a rich natural heritage: the pine forest that offers a wide variety of plant and animal species. The bend of a path, you may have the chance to observe deer, pheasants, foxes, wild boars and squirrels.
