Things to see and do

Very old city, the city of Brionne still has some vestiges of this glorious and ancient past.

Listed historical monument, the castle of Brionne, built in the eleventh century, stands on the heights of the city, dominating completely. It remains today only ruins of this rare square keep fighting in Normandy.

Two churches to find refuge Brionne the first, St. Maritn church was blessed in 1458 and contains many elements that period despite successive changes. Classified as an historic monument, the Saint-Denis church is now deconsecrated and serves gym.

In the streets of Brionne, one can discover remains of various industrial and agricultural past of the city. The estate of Lorraine, built in the eighteenth century, consists of a manor house and various outbuildings. His former press now houses the Tourist Office of the city.

The garden of Shaftesbury, small green park located along the Risle, was installed here to commemorate the twinning Brionne with the English town of the same name.

A leisure is installed to Lake Brionne, allowing the practice many water activities or outdoor. Picnic areas are also installed to allow families to eat locally.

Mushroom, converted former clay pit in the early eighteenth century, served as a refuge for the population during the 1944 bombings.
