15 km from the A1 motorway, the Memorial of the Clearing of the Armistice of Rethondes is a mecca of memory known throughout the world. The museum was expanded by 250m² and completely renovated in 2018. You will follow, in the new rooms, a historical and memorial journey from the armistice of 1918 to the armistice of 1940. A video room will make you follow in a striking way the life of the hairy. You will discover in the museum a wagon identical to the one where the armistices of 1918 and June 22, 1940 were signed, a taxi from the Marne that participated in the battle of the same name and 800 stereoscopic views dating from the First World War. The Memorial is dedicated to all combatants from 1870 to the present day with many monuments as well as in the garden of memory Augustin Trébuchon, last French death of the First World War.
