Bourg des Pyrénées-Orientales, in the foothills of the Corbières, Latour-de-France takes place in the Fenouillèdes, about thirty kilometers from Perpignan. Historical border between Roussillon and the kingdom of France, it is located above the Agly, not far from Millas and Tautavel.
First French city after Roussillon until 1659 and the famous Treaty of the Pyrenees, Latour-de-France has retained many vestiges of its medieval era. The village has witnessed over the centuries conflicts involving France and Spain, developing over wars and treaties.
