In the heart of the Pyrénées-Orientales, in the heart of French Catalonia, is one of the seven seaside resorts developed in the 1960s as part of the Racine project, Saint-Cyprien. Third marina of France, the seaside resort attracts many tourists throughout the year, which brings a certain fervor and an important animation this southern city.

Located about ten kilometers from Perpignan, the city of Saint-Cyprien faces the Mediterranean Sea, offering a breathtaking view of the big blue. Walking through the streets, we appreciate the smells of the markets where Catalan specialties flourish such as peaches, Roussillon reds, honey or even Catalan whips.

With its quality facilities, Saint-Cyprien is an ideal place to spend dream holidays with family or friends in a protected environment. Located at the foot of the Pyrenees, and only about thirty kilometers from Spain, the city makes it easy to discover the best sites in this region of France. On foot, on horseback or by mountain bike, you will be able to appreciate the charms of the nature of Saint-Cyprien.

Saint-Cyprien has a significant natural and cultural heritage that attracts tourists from all over Europe.

6 km of sandy beaches... The beaches are surely the most important tourist attraction of Saint-Cyprien. They extend along the Mediterranean Sea to Saint-Cyprien Beach. Program on this long stretch of fine sand, idleness, tanning, swimming or various water sports. Nearby, the marina, labeled Blue Flag for the quality of its water, can admire many boats and enjoy the terraces of cafes and restaurants. At this point, the fountain of the port cleans the water of the basin in addition to being decorative.

Built in the 18th century, on the remains of the old Romanesque church, the church Saint-Cyprien offers 18th and 19th century furniture. Do not miss the church of St. Stephen Vilarasa Romanesque style.

The François Desnoyer Collection, named after the country's child artist, is a museum displaying paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries. To accompany the works of Modigliani, Utrillo or Eugène Boudin, the works of François Desnoyer are presented, while temporary exhibitions are organized regularly.

Green spaces abound at Saint-Cyprien, including the Jardin des Plantes opened in 2003. On nearly five hectares, trees more than a century old or palm trees, bamboos or camellias are available. Housed in the former park of the Villa des Capellans, the Jardin des Plantes hosts summer concerts and entertainment. Treasure hunts are organized to the delight of children. Located between the village and the beach, the landscaped park of Prade is an ideal place for families (sports trail, 3 artificial lakes, playground and picnic).

It includes a sports course, 2.5 km of trail, a bird area, and a kindergarten. A multi sports field also offers to learn about different activities such as football or basketball.

Events and festivities

The animations are not lacking in Saint-Cyprien, a fun resort and full of life.

The Cypriales mark the arrival of spring: guitar concerts, open house offered by the associations of the city, or different sports activities. A cavalcade early May closing these events.

In June, the city organizes "South Beach", picnic citizen. The fires of St. John celebrate the longest day and give the kickoff of the summer season.

Patrol France over the city in July, while a fireworks display is organized for August 15.

Autumn is punctuated with sporting events: the young ITF international tennis tournament, the smaller Capellans tennis tournament for players 11 years playing in the league, castagnade and new wine, Muscat Christmas and Christmas Market are programmed every year.
