Located at the edge of the departments of Sarthe, Mayenne and Orne, in the Normandy-Maine Regional Nature Park, the Mancelles Alps are traversed by the River Sarthe and offer nature-lovers a variety of steep valleys, hedged farmland meadows and rocky, wooded cliffs. Fishing, canoe-kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and horse-riding are some of the activities you can do in this verdant area.
Some places are particularly worth a look, such as the Misère Valley, with its sparse landscapes dotted with fallen rocks, broom and heather, the picturesque village of Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei in Orne, and the green resort of Saint-Léonard-des-Bois in Sarthe.
