Built in the 15th and 16th centuries by Lord Charles de Brillac on the site of an old fortified manor, the elegant Château d'Argy boasts magnificent and well-preserved Renaissance architecture. The wonderful, richly-decorated, Italian-style gallery, Brillac tower and upper keep are fine examples of the period.

The 17th-century outbuildings, formerly a fortified farm, are today home to a museum of arts and rural traditions (Musée d'Arts et de Traditions Paysannes).

The 40-hectares estate featuring gardens, meadows, ornamental ponds and a lake is a haven of peace and a lovely place for a walk.

The venue regularly organises artistic and cultural events, and workshops on the themes of architecture and flora.
