Departing from the church, take Rue du Palais de Justice, heading west towards Rue de la Sardane, behind the town hall, a pretty castle with a large park and the municipal crèche nearby.
Take Rue de la Sardane (start of the itinerary in red), follow it to the end and then take a small path that goes below the railway line to reach the village of Codalet. Cross Codalet, heading to the left until you reach the road to Taurinya. Just opposite you will see a small car park (for around 6 cars). From there, a path goes straight ahead southwards. There are a few steps to climb, and a small allotment to cross. Then you arrive at the Bohère Canal, which brings water from the Canigou to the gardens. Turn right and walk along it until you see St Michael of Cuxa below. You can go down a path to see and visit the abbey. If you wish to carry on, follow the signs on a pretty path that starts to the left of the abbey car park. Return to the starting point via the same route.
