Established in 1998, the Techno Parade is a participatory musical parade accompanied by mobile sound systems that takes place on the streets of Paris every September. For six hours, the participants parade along the capital city's most beautiful avenues to the sound of beats and techno music, enjoying a musical stroll with a party atmosphere. The presence of national and international artists like Bob Sinclar, Laurent Garnier or Jeff Mills, as well as less famous DJs, helps to turn the parade into a techno music event of great diversity and quality. Many electronic music styles are represented like hardcore, drum'n'bass or trance.
Each year, the Techno Parade follows a different route around the streets of Paris and is attended by around 400,000 participants each year.
