Located at Uzein, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Pau - Pyrénées airport is Aquitaine's third largest in terms of passengers. Mainly dedicated to business customers, it also welcomes tourism customers by offering fixed or seasonal lines to London, Amsterdam and Brussels.
The site has its origins at the beginning of the 20th century, with an aerodrome which served as the birthplace of aviation, as evidenced by a commemorative plaque. It hosted the first flights of the Wright brothers or Blériot, as well as the oldest aviation school in the world.
Dynamic, Pau - Pyrénées airport now welcomes more than 600,000 passengers each year in its terminal.
