listed historical monument, the church of Saint-Symphorien is no shortage of interest. The latter was built in the twelfth century and changed regularly until the nineteenth. Without transept, it is dominated by a Romanesque style and has a tower with twin bays. Its present appearance dates from the seventeenth century, and one can discover a garden created following the reconstruction of the retaining wall of the old cemetery. Inside, one can find such paintings from the seventeenth century, a baroque altarpiece, or a beautiful Pietà, copy of a work of Carracci.
Several mansions dating from the eighteenth century embellish the city of Saint-Symphorien-d'Ozon, such as La Colombiere which hosts taxes today or that of Melat that serves as City Hall. This was also partially listed historic monument. In the commune, Renaissance houses, medieval streets remains as Henry street, or a staircase in Lyon, to the delight of visitors.
