Founded at the beginning of the 11th century by Count Werner d'Ortenbourg, the abbey of Honcourt takes place in the town of Saint-Martin, in the Bas-Rhin. Prosperous for a long time, it was sold at auction during the Revolution, becoming the property of a Vosges notable. Burned down during the First World War, the buildings of Honcourt Abbey subsequently rose from their ashes to become a castle again.
Today, the former abbey of Honcourt is available for hire for weddings and other private or professional events. Guest rooms also take place in the castle.
