Things to see and do

The Lalbenque aerodrome hosts several clubs and aviation schools where you can take introductory flying lessons for small planes, helicopters or gliders.

Medieval city, rich of a history of more than 2000 years, all the reasons are good to visit Cahors (16 km of the Manor Gaillardoux) and its famous Valentré bridge registered with the World Heritage of the Humanity by UNESCO under roads to Santiago de Compostela.

Perched on its rocky spur above the Lot, the medieval village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, is a must for your holidays in the region. Elected favorite village of the French, it is part of the Most Beautiful Villages of France. The discovery of its craftsmen will allow you to see ancient crafts like a wood turner for example or sculptors and painters.

To visit these places, passionate and dynamic guides will make you share their knowledge and their humor during guided tours from 1h to 3h or during private VIP tours (on request).

Unmissable site of the Lot Valley, you can not miss the visit of the Pech Merle cave. A marvel of cave art, the Pech Merle with its paintings of more than 20 000 years old is located in the small village of Cabrerets between Cahors and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie.

North of Cahors, visit the Pterosaur Beach in Crayssac, you will travel in history.

You can swim and travel the Lot and Cele by canoeing, hiking on foot or by bike in the Natural Park of Causses du Quercy, climb the famous cliffs of Saint-Géry, go caving and canyoning... Ropes course, paintball, footbulle, etc, ideas abound to have fun with family or friends (ines)!

Taste local products, whether duck confit, foie gras or duck breast, truffle, Rocamadour cheese, Croustilot (local bread), saffron, melon, walnuts and lamb Quercy. Added to these products, quercynoise recipes such as pastis (a kind of light alcoholic cake with apples), the mique (a kind of stew with a dough raised with eggs and duck fat), and the famous Quercynoise salad. The many typical restaurants will satisfy all your desires! In Lalbenque, you can attend the largest truffle market in the Lot. It takes place every Tuesday from December to mid-March.

The Bleu Trompette festival takes place in Montpezat-de-Quercy from the end of June to October.
