Zoo Jurques is located in the municipality of Dialan sur Chaîne in Calvados, 25 km north of Vire.
It was created in 1977 and has to date twenty hectares some 700 animals representing 150 species. Include visible felines and primates but also giraffes, zebras, ostriches and reptiles. However, the zoo Jurques is deemed particularly welcome white lions (multiple births were recorded) and a couple of pandas.
Member of the National Association of zoos in France, the Jurques Zoo participates in European breeding programs and protection of endangered species.
In addition to courses and activities offered daily to all visitors, immersion experiences are possible ("In the shoes of a healer") or custom events (days "birthday" for children).
