Partially listed as a Historic Monument, the Château de Bonneville takes place in the town of Chamblac, not far from the communal church. Originally built in the 15th century, the one which was the residence of the French writer Jean de La Varende, underwent several transformations in the 17th century.
Accessible via a tree-lined avenue, the Château de Bonneville takes the form of an orange-red brick building set on an old limestone base. It reveals a façade with a ground floor and an attic floor, as well as small square turrets with pointed roofs on the sides. At the rear, two back wings open onto the courtyard.
Surrounded by a park with avenues and ponds, the Château de Bonneville notably reveals a set of boxwood carved into chessboard rocks.
