Les agnates - 3 épis

Stayed here in September 2014 as part of our trip around France, lovely accommodation - shared kitchen with people staying in another room but didn't see them at all and we didn't need to use it anyway to cook. Breakfast laid out early the next morning by Guy who was very kind and friendly, spoke the best English out of everyone we came across during our trip! Couldn't do enough for us - laid out lots of food and offered us more but we couldn't move! Had freeview in room so managed to find Sky News for an english tv channel for some background noise, owners gave us complementary drinks of kir & wine on arrival. Wouldn't change a thing - very traditional french accommodation just how it should be, would love to return.

We stayed here en route to northern France, and used it as a base for some wine tasting in the region. It was a wonderful stay. The property is located between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Chambolle-Musigny, and within easy distance of many delightful wine areas. The property is set up so the two guestrooms are in a separate building at the back, with a common kitchen between them. This affords an appealing independence and calm, as the back overlooks the hosts fruit trees, lily pond, and small herd of sheep. There is a lovely garden with chairs, where you can enjoy the afternoon sun and an aperitif. Breakfast was generous and delicious: very good baguette, jams, fruit crumble, croissants, yogurt, and a well-timed soft-boiled egged. We couldn't eat the half of it. We hope to stay again, and for longer next time.

We enjoyed our 3 days in this B&B and the area. Nice location, beautiful garden (lovely little cat) amazing breakfast. Warm welcome. If we are in the area we will come back.

Very comfortable place with peaceful and beautiful environment! The host family is warm and helpful and would definitely love to stay with them again!!
