The whole experience was wonderful. Jean-Louis met us at the train station and upon arriving at the house, it was as though we stepped back in time to the 16th century. The whole building and surrounds were just so rich in history and it is an experience for those who love history and culture. We love how cozy and functional the house was, having been fitted with modern conveniences like heater and wifi. And we had a whole living room with kitchen and a billard table (that's how big the place was) to ourselves, in addition to the bedroom and bathroom. Another highlight was the wonderful hosts, Jean-Louis and Nathalie, who made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. They shared with us the history of the place (Jean-Louis is the 17th generation and his family had lived there since the house was built) and there are also books in the library should you wish to read more (though it's mostly in French). Breakfast was amazing, we were told it would be a surprise and it definitely was - it was a huge spread and I had a big pot of hot chocolate too! I would definitely come back next time for a longer stay - to try hiking and just relax, enjoy nature and take a break from city life.
Hello, Thank you very much. We were very happy to welcome you at our home. We wish you a safe journey in France. We hope to welcome you next year, again… ! Nathalie & Jean-Louis
Very special accomodation with superb hosts
Very special accomodation in a thouroughly medieval style with superb hospitality and cleanliness.
Thank you very much… It is very kind of you. Friendly - Nathalie & Jean-Louis
We stayed for 4 nights and the atmosphere of the house - breathing five centuries - was only topped by the charming welcome and the assistance of our hosts. Jean-Louis shared his rich knowledge of local history with us. And the breakfast: Delicious! I still remember the homemade marmelade of chestnuts. Our walks were fine and impressive, even though the weather was mixed - according to our expectations in early spring. The house is a few minutes of walk from the train station - easy for us to have a contrast to the city of Nice.
Merci beaucoup… Nous gardons également un excellent souvenir de votre séjour à Annot. Bien cordialement - Nathalie & Jean-Louis

A wonderful place to stay
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful historic house, which is located inside the mediaeval quarter of Annot. Annot is in a great location for walkers, surrounded by alps of Provence Our hosts gave us a warm welcome and shared their extensive knowledge of local history and local walks with us, which was fascinating. The copious breakfast was great and included delicious local chees and home-made jams, We would love to return one day.
Nous gardons de votre passage un excellent souvenir… - Parler avec vous de notre patrimoine, en français ou en anglais, a été un réel plaisir… - Thank you again to you and good continuation. Nathalie & Jean-Louis
