At 800 m from the town center and shops, 1 km from the lake ; a bike path provides direct access to the house. City Soustons is 8 km from the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by forests, it enjoys a privileged location with a mild climate and ocean. Near Hossegor, Capbreton and Messanges Soustons is close to the Basque Country and Spain, at the foot of the Pyrenees. This is a nice little town, surrounded by five lakes, a marine lake, a beautiful forest, it has a water sports center. Beautiful bike paths connect everything. A Soustons beach, part of the town lying at the edge of the Atlantic, is located a 9 hole golf course (the only golf Landes to offer a driving range on the water). Three other 18 hole golf courses are nearby (about 10 km). Summer or winter, the Monday morning market features all local produce. The Landes is famous for its beaches and cuisine. Soustons is an ideal resort for lovers of spa treatments at Dax. Activities abound : in early August, five days of festivities enliven Soustons. Summer local festivals are deemed especially for their landaises in arenas. Beautiful walks will make you discover the Basque country : Biarritz, St. Jean de Luz, Hendaye, Espelette, Cambo les Bains, Sare, St. Jean Pied de Port. Hiking opportunities in Armagnac, and day trips to Pau, Lourdes, Arcachon and San Sebastian in Spain.
