Municipality of Ain, in the Auvergne - Rhône-Alpes region, Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost takes place about fifteen kilometers from Lyon, at the gates of the Dombes. This former small agricultural village is also located not far from Miribel, Montluel and La Boisse.
Property of the Kingdom of Burgundy until the middle of the 10th century, the town subsequently joined the house of Chalon. It was not until the 19th and 20th centuries that Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost really took off, particularly through viticulture and textile factories in the Lyon region.
Still very dynamic today, this city in eastern France attracts visitors with its many cultural events and its heritage testifying to a great historical and architectural wealth.
