Town of Ain, in region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Beynost takes place about sixty kilometers from Bourg-en-Bresse, the Miribel Canal. It is located in the urban unit of Lyon, near Thil, St. Croix and Montluel.
Populated by 1 Iron Age, the territory of Beynost began to grow in the Gallo-Roman, thanks to the presence of the Roman road that connects Ludgdunum in Geneva. The one we called Beyno the twelfth century stands out for a long time in the cultivation of vineyards and wine production before developing its textile industry in the nineteenth century. The arrival of transport such as railway or tram eventually bring a great economic prosperity to the city.
Today Beynost continues to attract visitors with its rich architectural heritage as well as its ideal location for exploring the most beautiful sights of the region.
