Pietracorbara ("stone the crows" in Corsican) is a town located 18 km north of Bastia. Covering an area of 2,600 hectares, it is the sea floor at Mount Alticcione (1,139 m). It is composed of seven hamlets located between 100 and 400 m and a plain where concentrated suburban housing. Its coastline, consisting of rocks, creeks and sandy beach stretches for five kilometers. The town is inhabited by over 600 permanent residents. In summer the population is multiplied by three.
Pietracorbara is a village corsin cap authentic and original. Its architecture is diverse: towers and bridges genoa, Tuscan houses Corsicans of America, slate roofs, baroque chapels, traditional fountains (XIX) or contemporary-friendly site, ovens, fireplaces are engineered all of which call the visit.
