Labège

Labège, unknown city, still amazes visitors with its important heritage and the richness of its history.

Built in the nineteenth century, the St. Bartholomew church replaced an older building, destroyed by the Huguenots in the sixteenth century. Not far away, the square of the same name offers looks a beautiful mansion with a sundial from the early twentieth century. One can also enjoy home Pastel or a beautiful fountain sculpture.

House Salvan, dedicated to contemporary art, is an exhibition of artists' residence and important creation in the region. Opened in 2006, it has already honored many contemporary artists and proposed several conferences and educational workshops to showcase this art.

By performing a stroll in the heart of Labège, it is possible to discover a dovecote of the eighteenth century listed historical monument, and the Saint-Sernin fountains and Laurier. These are famous for their healing waters. According to legend, St. Sernin, passing through the village, they have thus given the power to heal various ailments.

Today music school, the old rectory is a beautiful example of regional architecture.

Firmly focused culture and entertainment, town Labège offers several events in this direction.

The market is held every Wednesday in the late afternoon.

A Christmas market also animates the streets of the city by year's end.

Twice a year, in April and November Labège hosts the famous Toulouse Game Show dedicated to video games and Japanese animation.

In June, the site Larsen festival dedicated to music. The event is an opportunity to discover young amateur groups.

Scientilivre The festival takes place every year in October. This book event highlights science through entertainment, exhibitions, workshops or dedications.
