Common Pyrenees-Atlantiques, in Aquitaine region Nova, Boucau sits on the edge of the Landes, in the heart of ancient Gascony. It is located a hundred kilometers from Pau, near the very tourist cities of Bayonne and Biarritz.
Based on an ancient territory, the common Boucau began to grow mainly in the second half of the sixteenth century thanks to the diversion of the Adour. Former property of the barony of Seignanx, she resurgent with the development of railway lines in the nineteenth century and the growth of seaside tourism.
Today, Boucau lives mainly coastal tourism, attracting visitors with the charm of its authenticity and its proximity to some of the most beautiful places of the Basque Country.
