At B&B ´Le cuisinier en Combraille' in Vergheas it is all about tranquility, relaxation and fabulous food. Your two hosts have created an oasis of well being and luxury, where they are ready to welcome you. You can enjoy lovely evening dinners after a stroll around the beautiful gardens with their breathtaking views. The clean air of this wild and unspoilt area of France will encourage you to let off steam by hiking or cycling on the many green lanes. Enjoy the hospitality of Jacques and Cees. They will lead you in one of five rooms with private bathroom. The four double rooms are in the garden and have their own garden terrace. The twin room is on the second floor of the farm, has a splendid Velux Balcony which offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape as well as a private bathroom. Each room has its own authentic atmosphere and is equipped with every comfort. You will feel immediately at home.

Wonderful surprise
One night only was not enough in this idyllic spot. The rooms are fabulous in this beautifully restored farmhouse and there is no attention to detail spared by the owners. The food is absolutely delicious, the garden is gorgeous and the setting calm and tranquil. Definitely want to return.

What a lovely place to stay
The accommodation was superb, very good quality. I love the area, very rural and picturesque. From the moment we arrived, we realised this was a wonderful find. When it came to the evening meal we were blown away. The level of cuisine was Michelin grade. Our hosts could not have been more helpful. You will not regret staying here. Thank you both for the wonderful food and being the highlight of our France visit.

If you care for details …
On our way to Brittany we decided to stop in Auvergne for the night. By mere chance we pick "Le cuisinier en Conmbraille": it couldn't have been a better choice. Everything's simply perfect! The large and very comfortable room, with in-style furniture and electric plugs wherever you need them. The dinner, started with truffle flavored Japanese mushrooms as an entrée followed by the "coquille de fruits de mer", the slightly garlic flavored "potage de lentille" and the beef in the sauce of red wine. Not counting the wines, that in spite of the anonymous bottles were an excellent Sauvignon blanc and tasteful Côtes du Rhône. But even more important have been Jacco and Cees, with their discreet kindness always attentive to any of our needs, including the lamplight provided for our afterdinner walk in the beautiful Auvergne countryside. Thank you very much!
