The Festival of Blue Nets - Event in Concarneau

Founded in 1905, the Festival of Blue Nets is one of the biggest traditional festivals in Brittany. Every year in August, it celebrates the diversity of Brittany’s culture and heritage, and gives pride of place to creativity and young talent, the signs of a living, dynamic culture in movement.

Thousands of summer holidaymakers come each year to admire the costumes and headdresses, discover Celtic music and dance, listen to the best artists of the Breton scene and also take part in the fest-noz and enjoy the Breton specialities! Street theatre, parade and nautical jousting, trades of yesteryear, sea shanties, exhibitions and children’s activities are also in store. Most of the activities and concerts are free.
