The Saint-Front Saint-Front-sur-Nizonne, Dordogne town located 17 km north of Brantome, was built in the twelfth century.
The saint to whom it is dedicated is common in this part of Périgord.
With a Romanesque style, the Saint-Front church has only one nave. Its bell tower with blind arches overcomes a dome at the crossing.
The building is famous for its arched porch and four columns on each side, whose capitals are very finely carved, depicting interlace and especially the characters. These refer to the way capital sins more explicit, a man showing off his penis, a woman being depicted naked. Moreover, figure a realistic hunting scene.
