Things to see and do

The Church: The church was endowed with an interesting classical period furniture. The altarpiece in gilded wood and polychrome is organized around a prominent tabernacle surrounded by a garland carved flowers and foliage between two windings with angels kneeling worshipers; over one thabor supports a canopy surmounted by a cross. Statues of the 17th century, also in gilt and polychrome frame the altar (St. Peter and St. Denys of Paris) or decorate the chapels (Saint Clair and a Virgin and Child 18th century). Crosses altar or processional and a large chandelier complement the furniture. Finally, we can notice three clams of which is included in the wall to the right of the altar, one dated 1738 is composed of a large bowl resting on a foot carved, the third for his bill is more rudimentary . One might add here the history of the crucifix (Jansenist) ivory.

The village: The village has retained chipboard randomly cobbled streets many vestiges of the past. Can still be seen on the lintel of the door of a house in the street Black, named in memory of the Black Prince (son of Edward the third winner of Jean le Bon at Poitiers in 1356) who would have stayed, weapons Richard Coeur de Lion. A former noble house from the 16th century presents a curious octagonal staircase turret, topped with slate, bell-shaped mushroom topped by crushed stone and an elegant square dovecote above a semicircular portal. And how mullioned tracery Gothic or Renaissance, skylights 17th and 18th centuries, without speaking a gear adorned with twin bays or heavy slate roofs supported by massive oak frames ...

Around: The hamlets extending over the hills surrounding the village are not only rich in heritage small (cross, batteries portal or pigeon ....) or old noble houses, or small castle, but they also show opulent stone buildings (houses or barns) which, built in the early 20th century testify to the prosperity brought by trade truffles. Finally, do not forget neither the windmill which was built probably in the 17th century, according to the design of mills quercynois, or the fountain of Belle, the only source in the territory of the municipality.

Nadaillac does not live only in the memories of a past that has certainly preserve or restore with a constant concern for authenticity: it also offers its residents and tourists who know how to stop all the services of a modern town where life is good.
