Located in Seine-Maritime, in the Normandy region, the castle of Mesnières sits on the town of Mesnières-en-Bray. Renaissance style, it was built in the mid-sixteenth century on the site of an old wooden fortress of the eleventh which will be dismantled by the English in the fifteenth.
Sold from family to family over the years, it becomes prison during the Terror, then hosts a religious education institution. Listed as a historic monument, it suffered in 2004 from a major fire that removed the chapels of the sixteenth and nineteenth century and part of the roof. Today, it houses the St. Joseph Institute with a college and a high school.
Masterpiece of the Renaissance, Mesnières Castle unveils cylindrical towers around the main building, facades with battlements, and a pavilion with Greek pilasters. Around, it is possible to discover a beautiful garden designed by Le Nôtre himself.
In addition to the school, it is possible to enjoy the rooms for events throughout the year or for seminars.
