The seaport of Lorient takes place in Morbihan, in the heart of the district of Kergroise. It is the fourteenth largest French trading port and its activities are mainly focused on the import of hydrocarbons, building materials and agro-food products.
Built at the beginning of the 20th century, it was completely enlarged after the war at the time of the reconstruction of the city of Lorient, then again in the 1970s. Managed by the Brittany region, the seaport of Lorient is also used by the Marine, with ships making regular stops.
