The château de la Mothe-Chandeniers was then a castle of great importance, but after the fire in 1930 this splendid castle fell into disrepair. Also remain the moat and park with trees. In the 16th century the castle passed to the family of Chaunay to Rochechouart. François de Rochechouart will constantly expand and beautify the building.
