The Château du Meux, in Oise, was built in the first half of the 17th century on the remains of a first building from the 12th century destroyed on the orders of Charles VII in the 15th century. It consists of a single building with exterior facades in bricks and stones and a blue slate roof. Inside, it is possible to admire a vaulted brick and stone staircase made up of two straight flights in opposite directions, listed in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments.
The Château du Meux is surrounded by a fully enclosed park of almost 7 hectares. Originally designed as a French garden, it today presents a smaller garden modeled on English gardens, including a Virginia tulip tree over 200 years old.
