Largest reservoir in the Loire-Atlantique department with an area of 200 hectares. It allows the water supply to the Nantes-Brest canal, via the feed channel. It is the property of the Loire-Atlantique department, under the management of the maritime service.

It is also a remarkable site as much for its extremely rich flora and its numerous birds as for the picturesque landscape of Petit Vioreau. Its exceptional fauna also makes it a fisherman's paradise. As for walkers, two circuits bypass Vioreau, around the lake and the forest. North of the shore, there is a beach supervised all summer long by lifeguards. You will also find on site a variety of water activities (paddle, catamaran, kayaking, etc.)
