Based at Hauteluce, in Savoie, the Girotte Lake is a natural lake modified by the dam of the same name in the early 1940s. It is a multiple arched concrete dam perched at 1700 meters altitude., in the heart of Beaufortain.
Lac de la Girotte has a depth of 134 meters and is still open to fishing today. Several hiking trails allow to appreciate the surrounding nature.
