Former priory of Prémontrés now listed as a Historic Monument, the priory of Cours takes place in the town of Grimault, in Yonne. Sold as national property during the Revolution, it then became a farm and saw its chapel transformed into a stable.
The priory of Cours however regained its religious vocation in 1965 with its purchase by a congregation of the Benedictines of Sainte Bathilde who definitively closed the doors in 2012.
The site still reveals a dwelling house, barns, a stable and a chapel, some parts of which date from the 12th and 13th centuries. It is also possible to admire the remains of wall paintings from the 16th century.
