Located in the municipality of Basse-Rentgen in Moselle Castle Preisch takes place at the heart of the Three Borders, between Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany. This building of the seventeenth century now classified as an historic monument was built on the remains of a medieval castle which can still see some traces.
Repeatedly transformed over the centuries and according to its different owners, Castle Preisch is seen especially decorated with a landscape garden in the early nineteenth century, the heart of one of more than 100 hectares surrounded by a wall dating from the time of Napoleon. Today, fifty hectares are available to the public to enjoy a small picnic or enjoy the Hampshire sheep that maintain space.
Classified historic monument, the Sainte-Madeleine chapel also deserves a visit. Built in the second half of the eighteenth century, it experienced a renovation, today unveiling beautiful yellow stone facades Jaumont.
Accessible to visitors, the castle Preisch is also available for hire for weddings and large events and offers various events throughout the year like an egg hunt or open-air cinema.
