Domaine du Cauze - Nérac

Come relax in this bicentennial farm that dates back to 16me century. And which is built, they say, with the stones of an ancient medieval watchtower. Converted into four guest rooms and one suite, surrounded by a private garden with a large swimming pool. It is located on a hill with a panoramic view in the heart of the Southwest, the output of Nerac in Gascony, the capital of good living. You will enjoy the quiet of the countryside while being close to the old city Gascon, its attractions, shops, restaurants, entertainment and market. Rooms: quiet, comfortable... A new and discounts. Yes, our rooms have been revamped this spring... Floors, tiles, furniture, curtains, bedding, decoration. Our four guest rooms of 20m² each and our suite of 50m², standards Gîtes de France 3 ears, are comfortable, tastefully decorated and personalized in memory of rich royal past Nerac. The suite is called Henry and the rooms are named Margot, Jeanne, and Marguerite Fleurette. Each guest room has comfortable beds (140 to 160) and its own modern bathroom, tiled with shower, sink and toilet. One room has two single beds and can accommodate four additional people. This is our family room, room Margot. All rooms are furnished with an antique wardrobe from the region and an antique table with his tray of refreshments. (Tea, coffee, kettle). Housed in the oldest part of the property, the original house dating back to 16me century, the suite has two rooms of equal size: one bedroom with a double bed (160) and a living room with two sofas sofa. The shower, the bathroom and toilet are separated within the suite. We recently installed a kitchen in the suite. The guest rooms and suite have a separate entrance with access to the garden, pool and private parking.

Have been staying here for many years
My daughter has grown up, spending many happy summers in Domain du Cauze, many hours in the pool and always looking forward to a midnight swim. We have met some lovely people here, of different nationalities. We love the walk along the lane into Nerac and spend many hours strolling around the town and along the river, stopping for 'refreshments' of different kinds. Issabel and Ken have always entertained us and always provided a warm welcome.

Home away from home
We spent a week at this delightful bed and breakfast. We found it very comfortable, homely and our hosts were very helpful in advising and directing us to many interesting sights in the immediate area. We look forward to a return visit.

We will be back!
Were made to feel very welcome by Isobel and her father Ken. They were helpful with their knowledge of the area, restaurants and markets etc. They also made us very welcome at an impromptu BBQ. We liked the area so much, particularly Nerac, we plan to go back in 2013, but this time we will be on a self drive boat. My only negative regarding Domaine du Cauze was that the garden and grounds need more love, but the property was delightful.

Relaxing countryside homestead
Isabelle and her father Ken were extremely helpful - picking us up from the train in Agen, offering advice about the local restaurants in Nérac and letting us watch the royal wedding in their lounge. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer, however it was booked the next few nights. The lodging was comfortable and private, with a pool table and near to a gorgeous path through the local farms into the town. Nérac is a town we'd love to come back to, we're sure any future guests will feel the same way!
