Vielle-Saint-Girons

Vielle-Saint-Girons hosts several sites classified natural areas of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest. You will also be able to enjoy the various beaches accessible in the town, like the central beach, those of the Lette Blanche, the Lake, Saint-Girons north, or the beach of the naturist center of Arnaoutchot. In addition to idleness, you will enjoy the initiation to surfing or windsurfing on these family sites and preserved.

In the town, several monuments are worth seeing, such as the church of Saint-Eutrope, Notre-Dame church, or the Boulart house, an old house. Do not miss the column of the Sauvete of the eleventh century, or the well filtering.

Several marked hiking trails allow you to go on foot or by bike to discover the local fauna and flora.

A market is held on Sunday morning between July and August. A night market is also offered at this time of year.

At the beginning of May, the municipality proposes a cycling race in its streets. On this occasion, the festival of the city is organized with a ball, a contest of pétanque, concerts or even festive aperitifs and a funeral fair.

In July, the Artyculture festival offers a craft market and various concerts.

The festival at the lake is held at the end of July and offers several activities.

• This exhibition surveys the theatrical genre from its birth in ancient Greece, with the birth of tragedy, right up to the most contemporary repertory, with living amateurs such as Edward Bond.
