Azur

Petit, the village of Azur do this not least a few interesting sights to discover.

Former stronghold of the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem, Azur has still some sites from this period, like a feudal mound of the late twelfth century.

Walking through the village, you can admire a beautiful seventeenth century barn equipped for welcoming pilgrims and built on the model of old barns driveway. Nearby, the housing of the apothecary and the baker has a very well preserved bread oven.

The Church of St. John the Baptist, dating from the late nineteenth century, the church replaces the Hospitallers built in the seventeenth century.

The pond Azur is ideal for the practice of many activities such as fishing or sailing.

In August, the village hosts its local festivals.

In summer, Azur offers sardinades around the lake.
