The winter sports resort of Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise is located in the town of the same name, in Savoie, a dozen kilometers east of Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
In the heart of the Tarentaise valley, the resort maintains a friendly and family atmosphere in an authentic setting (the traditional mountain village has been preserved).
The ski area rises to an altitude of 2620 m, covering 800 hectares benefiting from quality natural snow cover, sheltered from the wind, thanks to a microclimate.
Six ski lifts serve 25 slopes (including 4 black, 11 red, 2 green and 8 blue). Thrill seekers can find what they are looking for: however, at Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise, dotted with wooded areas, the descents are particularly popular with families and practitioners of "leisure and relaxation skiing".
Note, however, that off-piste skiing is possible, provided you are accompanied by an experienced guide.
On the resort are also available a toboggan run dedicated to children and a thematic trail to be covered by snowshoeing which allows to understand the ecological richness of the site (have been fitted out panels presenting the flora and fauna).
A branch of the French Ski School is located: information on +33 4 79 06 96 76.
In summer, the resort is popular with hiking, climbing and mountain biking enthusiasts. Its natural heritage and panoramic views allow you to combine oxygen and bucolic escapades.
