Charming small village of Cotes d'Armor in Brittany, Ploëzal takes place about sixty kilometers from Saint-Brieuc, in Greater Paimpol. It is not far Troguéry Pontrieux and Langoat.

Populated for many centuries, the territory of Ploëzal develops in the course of the Middle Ages, gradually taking the face that it is today. It was erected in town in 1790 and sees his field expand with its merger with Runan early 1970. Full of charm and rich in authentic atmosphere and preserved, the Breton city continues to attract visitors with its proximity with some of the most beautiful sights in the region, but also for its architectural and historical heritage worthy of interest.

Things to see and do

Ranked historic monument, the Chateau de la Roche-Jagu dates from the fifteenth century. Property of the General Council of Côtes d'Armor, it has undergone many restoration campaigns since the late 1960. Throughout the year, the castle and the park exhibitions and cultural events. Within thirty hectares outside, it is particularly possible to admire an oak tercentenary, pools, palm grove, the medieval-style gardens or even more than 300 varieties of camellias installed near the rose garden. Several sculptures wrought iron are also present and the set is labeled Remarkable Garden and Ecojardin for its environmental management.

Strolling in the heart of the Breton city, you can admire the castle of Kerivon eighteenth century classified historic monument, the Kermaker mansion of the fifteenth century registered historic monument or the beautiful church of St. Peter.

Hiking trails are also available to discover the local fauna and flora.
