Parcoul-Chenaud

Located in Chenaud, the church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul was built during the 12th century. Remodeled in the 17th century, it is listed among the Historic Monuments for its pulpit and choir. In the village, you can also admire the house of La Mazillière, or else the castle of Bardolet.

In the Romanesque style, the church of Parcoul is dedicated to Saint Martin. Constructed in the twelfth century, like its sister, it was strongly reworked in the 14th century, then in the 19th century. Inscribed in the Historical Monuments, it was formerly used as a priory for the Benedictines of the abbey of Charroux. You will not miss the 16th century castle or the prehistoric cluzeau. The latter represents a cave shelter dug in the soil, typical of the region.

In October, the village proposes several animations discovered during the feast of Science.
