Small village of more than 700 inhabitants, Parcoul-Chenaud takes place in the department of the Dordogne, in New Aquitaine. Limitrophe of Charente and Charente-Maritime, it is located in the arrondissement of Périgueux.
Parcoul-Chenaud is a new town born in January 2016 of the regrouping of the villages of Chenaud and Parcoul.
