The Cubnezais loop reveals to the curious and attentive walker the richness of a landscape delicately shaped by nature and man. The forest, very present throughout the circuit, will provide shade and coolness for summer hikes. Composed of pines and hardwoods, it welcomes the birds and mammals of our countryside. You may be lucky, being discreet and observant, to see them or hear them during your walk. The vineyard which is the other component of this territory produces a wine marketed under the name Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux. The clay-limestone and clay-gravelly hillsides of the canton of Saint Savin, rub shoulders silico-clay plateaus. This parcel layout gives them a specific typicity, where each grape variety can find the terroir that is adapted to it. You will notice several times the specificity of certain parcels with the planting of vines in lyre of the castle Bertinerie. At the end of the hike, you will discover the Saint Martin church, whose steeple can be seen arriving at the village. Influenced by the art Saintongeais, the latter presents a portal, inscribed in the Historical Monument since 1927. Departure Mairie de Cubnezais
