• The vine in lyre

• You discover the planting of the vine in lyre. This mode of recent cultivation is rarely adopted. However, it has some advantages. The opening of the vine row, allows a better exposure of the grape to the sun and thus facilitates the concentration of the sugar in the bunches. The vine is higher, which reduces the risk of diseases from the earth and also facilitates manual work.

• The Girondine house

• You will notice on your left a stone house, which characterizes the traditional habitat of Haute Gironde. It is built of stone or rubble coated, with a roof tile channel (terracotta tiles called "Gironde"). The spaces are traditionally divided on two levels: on the ground floor the inhabited part and a floor for the loft with fenestrons to illuminate and ventilate it.

• The vineyard hut

• In the middle of the vineyard you observe a winemaker's hut. It is first and foremost a shed where the necessary tools for culture were stored, but also water and foodstuffs. It is the refuge that protects the winemaker from heat and cold. True little house of the fields it was also the place of shared meals, parties and dating.

• A green corridor...

• Enjoy this passage in the forest to observe and listen to nature. You will certainly see traces of animals (badger, fox, deer...) or enjoy the songs of birds that populate these places (pigeon, small passerine...).

• The Dougnes site

• You cross the site of Dougnes, playground, picnic area. On-site public toilets, picnic tables.

• The Saint Martin church

• When you arrive in the village, you will see the church of Cubnezais which we advise you to discover.
• The Saint-Martin church displays its beautiful 12th century portal, listed as a Historic Monument on 21 December 1925. Influenced by the Romanesque art saintongeais, the central door framed by two blind doors is crowned with a tympanum in the form of increasing.
• The sculpture is expressed in geometric patterns on the arch, above the doors, and by animal and human representations on modillions (decorative elements).
• Inside, there is a set of stained glass windows made by the Dagrant house, glass painter from Bordeaux in the 19th century. The square tower, on the facade houses two bells, one of 1784 is listed as a Historic Monument in 1942 and the other dates from 1932.
