New town of Pays de la Loire, Tuffalun takes place in the department of Maine-et-Loire, about thirty kilometers from Angers. She was born in December 2015, from the merger of Ambillou-Château, Louerre, and Noyant-la-Plaine.
Populated since the Gallo-Roman era, as evidenced by some remains found on the spot, these old municipalities take their new name of the basement of the territory composed of tufa and falun which made their reputation.
Appreciated for its natural spaces and its proximity to one of the most beautiful cities of the department, the new town of Tuffalun has been experiencing for some years a beautiful tourist activity linked to its architectural heritage, as well as its marked hiking trails to discover the local fauna and flora.
